Community Led Initiatives
Each of the above roles is to mentor adults with drug and alcohol issues who have reached a point in their recovery where they are motivated to make positive changes in their lives, some of whom may have multiple/complex needs, providing practical support and constructive activities to help our clients make positive lifestyle changes.
Transitions UK
A UK-wide organisation with its roots in Luton, Transitions UK works with vulnerable and disadvantaged young people. They provide personally tailored support to help them identify life goals and move towards them.
Achieve Sessional Volunteer / Mentor- Luton
The Achieve Mentoring Support Project is aimed at helping young people aged 15-25 years to gain the confidence and skills they need to move towards independence and a positive place in the community.
This role is aimed at supporting young people with mild to moderate learning difficulties. The support being given to the young people is aimed at making a positive and effective transition to a better life.

Independent Visitors: Form a long-lasting friendship with a child in care, giving them an opportunity to experience new things and develop essential life skills.
Beyond detention
Post detention Casework Volunteer: Provide advice, guidance, and emotional support to individuals who have recently left Yarls Wood Immigration Removal Centre and have been given the right to remain in the UK, helping them to establish themselves in their new community.

NCS Volunteer: Help to support the running of the National Citizen Service (NCS) programme for 16 and 17 year olds. You will be encouraging young people to challenge themselves and helping them to reflect on their experiences and learn from them.
