VOCypf promotes a wide range of both face to face and online training opportunities, many of which are free of charge for the voluntary sector.

Safeguarding Children Boards

The Pan Bedfordshire Training Unit joins the three authorities covering Bedfordshire, that are Bedford Borough, Central Bedfordshire and Luton, and their approach to multi agency safeguarding learning and development. The shared ambition is that professionals are provided with the skills and confidence to enable all children and young people in the county to lead safe, happy and healthy lives; with opportunities to learn, develop and fulfil their potential. Bedfordshire Domestic Abuse Partnership
- Bedfordshire Domestic Abuse Training team offer a range of multi-agency training courses and events aimed at those working or volunteering with children, young people and / or adults across Bedfordshire. Visit Bedfordshire Domestic Abuse Training to register and view their programe online.
Voluntary Sector
- Community Voluntary Service (CVS) runs regular workshops and training for voluntary and community groups in Bedford Borough, Central Bedfordshire and Luton. Regular free workshops offer help with fundraising, demonstrating needs and outcomes, and safeguarding awareness. Other courses are chargeable. - Community Action Bedfordshire (CAB) has events for volunteer managers and co-ordinators, and runs safeguarding awareness courses for the Leighton Buzzard community. For details of what is currently on offer, visit the CAB Courses and Events web page.
