Connecting across Bedfordshire

We encourage working together as we:

• network, raise awareness and share information through events, meetings, newsletters and social media;

• promote  the importance of social action to the public and private sectors;

• support collaboration and partnership working.

We house a full directory of organisations in the local voluntary, community and social enterprise sector, and the services they provide within Bedfordshire.

Our primary means of keeping the sector informed is through regular email updates to organisations and individuals that are signed up. Besides this, we use social media to promote and raise awareness of events to be shared across the sector.

Community Voluntary Service has representation on a number of boards and consortiums – such as the Bedfordshire Advice Forum (BAF).

We provide management and office support to projects which are serving communities independently – namely Bedford Homeless Partnership, Big Local, and VOCypf.

Our building, at 43 Bromham Road plays a valuable part in connecting organisations as it brings people together for meeting, training and sharing office space.

We are funded by, and have strong links with, Bedford Borough Council, Central Bedfordshire Council, Luton Rising (via Bedfordshire and Luton Community Foundation) and the Harpur Trust.
