CVS hold copies of directories of funders and can support you to use the online funding resources below.
You can book an appointment with one of our advisors to use our databases and books and we can provide support to get you started on your research if you need it. Many people find the information below is all they require but please do get in touch with us if you have any technical queries.
Our Funders in Bedfordshire and Luton page lists local funders, some of which don't appear in national databases. This makes a good starting point for your funding search.
CVS email updates always contain information about funding, in particular upcoming deadlines and new funds being launched.
We regularly arrange Meet the Funder events with national funders, to give local organisations the opportunity to talk directly to grants officers about applications they would like to make. These are also advertised in our email updates and on this website.
If you would like to undertake your own research into sources of funding, here are some resources recommended by us:
- Community Matters (Yorkshire) produces a monthly newsletter which contains a wide assortment of funding information, usually in excess of 50 opportunities. This is available as part of a subscription package which is currently priced at £10 a year and also includes access to a specialist funding database. Details of how to subscribe are available here.
- SYFAB offers funding information through its website and email services. For an annual subscription of £25, they send regular updates on funding opportunities - you choose the frequency of the emails that you receive.
- Sports clubs and organisations that help people get active will find the Funding Finder provided by Be Active formally Team Beds and Luton useful.
