Preen - Biggleswade
Preen is a domestic goods reuse project. We pass on donated furniture, white goods, household goods and electricals. We run a massive shop which is open to the public and have a extremely busy drop-in Food Bank. We are a Safe Space where people can get information and contact organisations that will help with their domestic abuse experience. We work with local authorities to provide food and furniture for Ukrainians that have been rehoused, we also run a grant scheme which aims to help the poorest with household necessities
Bedford Repair Cafe
Bedford Repair Café started in 2016. Our aim is to empower people not just to get their belongings repaired, but learn how to repair things themselves. We want to save products from being thrown away and give them a new lease of life. Through the group, we hope to help lessen the impact of our ‘stuff’ on the environment by keeping it in use, as well as saving people money and time by not having to replace their broken items.
