This one-day course teaches emergency first aid relevant to the work place. On completion of the programme, delegates will receive a certificate, valid for three years.
Course Content:
The course will use teaching, practical exercises and assessment to prepare participants to manage first aid incidents at work. Topics covered include:
- responsibilities of employers and employees
- resuscitation
- recovery position
- control of severe bleeding
- treatment of the unconscious person
- burns and scalds
- choking
Course Outcomes:
By the end of the course, delegates will be:
- able to administer basic life-saving First Aid
- aware of relevant regulations for Health and Safety
- able to identify priorities of First Aid
- able to manage an incident
Delegates are assessed throughout the course. On completion of the programme, they will receive a certificate, valid for three years.
Course Tutor:
We use Family Groups Bedford to deliver our First Aid courses. Their experienced and qualified First Aid Instructors deliver First Aid to the recognised standards required by the HSE.
Booking Information:
Buffet lunch is included in the cost of £60 per person for voluntary and community sector organisations.
Initially there will be a limit of two delegates from any one organisation, but further places may become available near to the scheduled date. Please advise if you wish to be put on a waiting list.
