CPRE Hedgerow Hero

07 June 2024

Could you be a Hedgerow Hero?

CPRE Bedfordshire, the countryside charity, is looking to build a team of volunteers for our Hedgerow Heroes project. 2024 is the first phase of a three year Bedfordshire Hedgerow Project that will kickstart an ambitious initiative to lay at least 3,000 metres of hedgerow in three years.

Following a successful pilot in May, this autumn we will be focusing on hedge planting and working with local communities mainly in Central Bedfordshire to make this happen. Ahead of this we are recruiting and training volunteers to become Hedgerow Heroes.

You might be involved in ground clearance and tree planting, surveying or general conservation tasks. By volunteering with us you can make a real difference and be part of a friendly and passionate charity.
