4YP: Youth Club Lead, Bedford, £17.36 per hour, part time (2 evenings per week – term time).

Our Youth Workers come from a variety of life situations. Some want part time work that fits around home life or are studying Youth Work or related higher qualification. Others have full-time careers elsewhere but love the opportunity to work with young people and earn an extra income. What all our workers have in common is an ability to engage with young people and a passion and understanding of the work we do and the impact it can make.

Project Coordinator: The Dunton Community Garden, Dunton, £20 per hour (10 hours per week for 42 weeks).

The coordinator will work with various age groups and backgrounds, devising and promoting and workshops that empower skill development and improve mental health and well-being. They will also help plan and co-ordinate Garden activity so we ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all.

Luton Borough Council: Luton 2040 Bid Officer, Luton, £45,718 - £48,710 pa (plus car benefits), full time.

As the 2040 Bid Officer, you will play a vital role in securing grant funding to finance Luton 2040 programmes and projects. You will work collaboratively with managers and stakeholders, preparing and submitting compelling bids from a full range of funding bodies including Central Government Departments, Non-Departmental Public Bodies, National Lottery and other approved funding bodies.

The Bedford MS Therapy Centre: Fundraising and Corporate Liaison Officer, Bedford,  £31,921 fte, part time (25-30 hours per week).

We are looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic Fundraising and Corporate Liaison Officer to help grow the charity's income. You will be organised, with excellent time management skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude and exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to engage and build rapport quickly with our service users and the public.

ACCM (UK): Project Support Worker, Bedford, £15,800 pa,  part-time (20 hours per week).

As a Support Worker you will support staff and volunteers to plan and develop services, organise and run events to tackle health, social and economic inequalities that affect local communities who are most vulnerable and residing in Bedford’s most deprived Wards of Kingsbrook and Cauldwell.

Luton Fairness Taskforce: Community Researcher, Luton, £14 per hour, 2-3 hours per month (between April – August).

We are looking for five individuals to work alongside The Young Foundation to help us the impact of Luton Fairness Taskforce in Luton. The Young Foundation is funded to support the evaluation of the LFT working with the Taskforce partners, Luton Council, the University of Bedfordshire and the Bedfordshire and Luton Community Foundation.

Bedford Radio: Business Development Executive, Bedford, £10,140 pa, part time (15 hours per week).

This is a business-to-business sales role, primarily dealing with radio advertising and sponsorship opportunities with Bedford Radio, but also working on other commercial opportunities as they are developed. These will include organising our established Bedford Business Expo, and working to launch a business club and regular networking.

The Children’s Society: Community Navigator, Bedford, £26,100 fte, part time (21 hours per week).

The community navigators will provide 1:1 support to young people and young adults (up to 25), affected by exploitation across Bedfordshire [Luton, Bedford and Central Bedfordshire]. The successful candidate will have an excellent track record of engaging with young people, ensuring they meet young people 'where they are at' and help them to navigate a complex system guiding them through day-to-day challenges that they may be experiencing.

Book Keeper/Treasurer for the British Region of the International Ecumenical Fellowship (BRIEF). 

This small Christian charity is looking for a Book Keeper/Treasurer to manage its day-to-day finances. This is a paid rôle with remuneration depending on the experience and knowledge of the applicant. It would require knowledge of preparing an annual financial statement and narrative to the Annual General Meeting (AGM).

Luton Roma Trust: Digital Skills Tutor, Luton, salary tbc, part time (3 hours per week).

Luton Roma Trust is a registered charity working in Luton to support the local Roma community who have migrated to the UK in recent years in search of a better life. We have been awarded funding for a pilot project on improving the digital skills of the Roma community in Luton. We are seeking a digital skills tutor who can deliver basic IT skills sessions in a supportive and engaging environment.

School Food Matters: Gardener Project Officer for Young Marketeers, Bedford, Up to 21 days @ £165 per day from March – July.

To manage the delivery of Young Marketeers in Bedford in six primary school. The programme provides hands-on opportunities for children from primary schools to grow fruit and veg from seed to sell at their local market. Young Marketeers is also a platform for School Food Matters to promote food education to schools and communities as a way to support children to live happy and healthy lives.
