Community Services Officer: Flitwick Town Council, Flitwick, £29,064 pa, full time.

We’re looking for a community-focused team player to help us build effective community engagement across Flitwick. You’ll be organising community projects and events, and working with local groups and organisations to strengthen the town’s community value.

King’s Arms Project: Winter Nightshelter, Bedford, £12.75 per hour, evening shift (6pm-11pm),  and/or Morning shift (6.45am-8.30/9am)

The role of shift leader is an important part of the success of the Winter Night Shelter. Working with a team of volunteers you will set the rhythm and tone for the evening. You will provide a welcome to volunteers, making sure they are briefed and ready to assist our guests. You will welcome guests and register/risk assess helping to ensure that risks presented by guests to volunteers and other guests are minimised. You and the volunteer team will provide meals and help guests to access their sleeping arrangements for the night.

Bedfordshire Rural Communities Charity: Mental Health - Community Wellbeing Champion (Bedford Locality), £29,781 pa, part time (33 hours per week).

Beds RCC hosts Community Referral (Social Prescribing) on behalf of our Local Authorities and NHS partners, this role supports the service within Secondary Mental Health to work with patients who have a serious and enduring mental health condition. This service ensures that people with a range of non-medical needs affecting their health are cared for and included within their local communities, by connecting them with existing groups and activities, alongside a clinical intervention. You will work with other roles to form an MDT where patients are holistically triaged to enable them to access help.
