Trustees Week 2023

Trustees are the people who lead a charity and decide how it is run. They are the key decision makers in a charity and use their life experience and skills to help the charity to achieve their aims.
This year we celebrate the individual talents, viewpoints and experiences each trustee brings to their board and their collective decision making and how diversity can help make a charity stronger. We also highlight the wealth of guidance and support that charities can draw on, to survive and thrive.
Bedfordshire Trustees Network
This network aims to bring together Trustees, Directors and Committee members from charities and not-for-profit groups of all sizes to share best practice and talk about the challenges facing them in their roles.

Become a Charity Trustee / Social Enterprise Director Workshop
We are hosting an online workshop designed to help you understand the role of an effective board member – relevant for both charities and social enterprise. It is for those wanting to make a difference and gain new skills at a senior level.
The structure of our workshop will cover:
- The benefits of being a trustee / director
- The main duties (responsibilities) of a trustee (director)
- The importance of balancing the skills of a trustee / director board
- Where to find trustee / director roles
