A Day to Connect

14 April 2022

From Mind BLMK:

Mind BLMK Wellbeing Open Day

Do you know what mental health services are available in your local Community?

As the leading Mental Health charity across Bedfordshire, Luton & Milton Keynes providing a range of different services in the support of mental health, we are committed to ensuring that no one has to experience a Mental Health Problem alone.

On Thursday 12 May, we are opening our doors at the Luton Wellbeing Centre, in Dumfries Street to invite our Service Users, Stake Holders, Volunteers and other Collaborative agencies to join us throughout the day.

This is an opportunity for our local communities to get a greater understanding of the various services available throughout BLMK and to chat to our trained mental health Specialists who can provide more in-depth information surrounding a variety of different subjects: depression, anxiety, self-esteem, goal-setting and more.

If you are looking at other ways at how you or your organization can become involved, our Fundraising and Engagement officer will be on hand to discuss various way in which you can help; from being a volunteer mentor, supporting admin at HQ, to holding your own event or becoming one of our Charity Partners.

There will be various presentations throughout the day at:

10.30am, 12.30pm 15.00pm and 17.30pm,

along with light refreshments and a chance to take part in some art therapy, or perhaps you might enjoy some light meditation in one of our relaxation rooms.

As Monday 9 May 2022, marks the launch of Mental Health Awareness Week, this is the perfect time to join us and talk about how we can all look to achieve a better mental health.  This year, the theme is ‘loneliness’ and our connection to other people and our community is fundamental to tackling the epidemic of loneliness.

No one should have to face a mental health problem alone, and everybody should get the support that they deserve.

Date: Thursday 12 May
Time:  10.00am - 6.00pm
Venue:  Mind BLMK  Wellbeing Centre, 46-56 Dumfries Street, Luton LU1 5BP
