Opportunities for voluntary sector organisations to bid for youth worker funding and Winter Pressures Programme

 

Community Mental Health Substance Use Outreach Worker

 

"We are inviting applications from local VCSEs to support the extension of the offer for adults with substance use and co-occurring mental health problems in our new community mental health service for the Caritas PCN. There is an opportunity for a community substance outreach worker to work alongside the existing substance use integration worker to improve access to support and treatment. Funding is available to provide at least 0.5wte worker for a 12month contract in the first instance.

Youth Worker – Lived Experience

"We are seeking interest for VCSE organisations to provide a youth worker with lived experience for the Bedfordshire & Luton Early Intervention in Psychosis service. They will provide peer support for young people aged 14-25 who are currently experiencing or are at high risk of developing psychosis. The workers will have lived experience of psychosis and will be representative of the group they will be working with. They will work as an integrated part of the Early Intervention Team and forge a close working relationship with people participation leads in Bedfordshire. We are looking for the successful organisation to provide two posts at circa 16 hours each, one to cover North Bedfordshire, including Bedford, Flitwick and Ampthill and the other to cover South Bedfordshire and Luton.

Winter Pressures Programme

"East London Foundation NHS Trust is opening a programme of further investment in the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector following the success of recent expansions in the community connector programme and the PCN grant scheme. The programme aims to support organisations working with populations and communities experiencing challenges and exclusion and facing hardship as a result of the pandemic. The investment programme has two primary focus points:

Funding locations: Bedford, Central Bedfordshire, Luton, Tower Hamlets, Newham, and City & Hackney
Total Fund: £1,800,000
Funding amount: £5,000 to £100,000 per scheme
Funding applications return deadline: 23:59 on 6/2/2022"
