Funding for Jubilee Activities
Funding available to help celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee this year.
On 6 February, Her Majesty The Queen will become the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee after 70 years of service. A number of events and initiatives will be taking place culminating in a four day UK bank holiday weekend from Thursday to Sunday, 2-5 June.
There's a Platinum Pudding Competition, with entries to be submitted by 4 February, and opportunities to "plant a tree for the jubilee" with the Queen's Green Canopy. Official plans to celebrate also include The Big Jubilee Lunch, You can find details of plans for these and other celebrations on the Royal Family website.
For organisations wanting to join in the celebrations, there are several pots of funding available:
Bedfordshire and Luton Community Foundation - Let’s Create Jubilee Fund
The fund will support voluntary & community groups to work with artists and creatives to develop creative and cultural activities as part of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations in June 2022. This fund has been created by Arts Council England (ACE) with funds from the National Lottery. It is a countywide funding opportunity so groups from Bedford Borough, Central Beds or Luton can apply.
Grants of between £750 to £10,000 available.

Heart of the Community Awards
These awards from Making a Difference Locally offer grants of up to £1,000 to support communities across the UK to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in June.
The funding can be used towards entertainment, equipment, food and drinks, venue hire or decorations. They will only fund within 10 miles of a Nisa store so check your eligibility here using your project postcode.
Nisa retailers choose and nominate a cause via the MADL partner website, providing information on the good cause and event, so visit your local Nisa store and ask them to nominate your charity and event. 70 grants will be made.

National Lottery Awards for All
The Awards for All programme is now accepting applications that celebrate the Platinum Jubilee. Applications should still meet the standard aims and eligibility criteria of the Awards for All programme.
The strongest projects will promote relationships across generations, develop the skills and experience of communities or encourage the care of/action in the natural world as part of the celebrations. Applications can be accepted for one-off events on the day of the Jubilee which meet these criteria. You should aim to demonstrate a lasting impact beyond the event itself. A high demand for this funding is expected.

Sport England - Queen's Platinum Jubilee Activity Fund
The Queen's Platinum Jubilee Activity Fund aims to use sport and physical activity as a means of bringing a community together and providing opportunities for people who may be less physically active. Project costs such as facility hire and coaching, and small capital improvements are eligible. It’s important that your project can continue to run, or have a lasting legacy as a result of the funding. Sports England are looking for projects that are built from local experience and feedback; that bring together various groups and communities; and also make the most of local facilities and equipment.
You don’t have to be a sports organisation to apply but you should show how you have the skills and experience to deliver the project. Priority will be given to projects that work with people in disadvantaged communities.
Grants of between £300 and £10,000 available.
