Tools with a Mission
Can you help give some time to TWAM?
Tools with a Mission (TWAM) is a Christian Charity that transforms lives across Africa through the gift of skills training and tools.
"We collect usable donated tools, refurbish them, sort them into trade kits and send them to the developing world for livelihood creation."
They send 18 containers packed with over 200 tonnes of tools to Africa every year and it is all down to volunteers. That amounts to over 450,000 individual tools every year being placed into the hands of people who will use them to transform their lives and their communities.
TWAM is looking for volunteers who can can help them to double in size in attempt to meet demand for their tools. They need both collectors, and speakers.

Volunteer Collector: The role of the collector is to respond to requests from members of the public to collect tools they have to donate and to store them for the TWAM van to collect. We will normally ask you to collect with a maximum 25 mile radius from your home (although you can request a smaller area) and requests are matched based on postcodes.
Volunteer Speaker: The role of the TWAM speaker is to talk to groups in your local community leaving them with the challenge to support TWAM through tool collections, financial provision or by volunteering. The groups you speak to will be diverse in nature and could include churches schools, Rotary Clubs and many others.
