Vaccination Volunteers Needed

22 April 2021

Volunteers are playing a critical part in the rollout of the Covid-19 vaccine programme.

We are once again looking for people to volunteer at the following vaccination centres:

  • Bedford Heights, Bedford
  • Redgrave Gardens, Luton
  • Priory House, Chicksands
  • Watling House, Dunstable
  • Biggleswade Community Hospital

There are a range of roles to be undertaken, including:

  • car park stewarding - outdoor and on foot (warm clothes are necessary including waterproofs when rain is forecast)
  •
  • front of house - meeting and greeting patients to check they have an appointment
  •
  • ensuring the flow of patients through the centre - this is mainly indoors, but can be outdoors

Volunteers should be available to undertake a minimum of 4-hour shifts, with rotas covering 8 am to 8 pm, 7 days per week.

Appropriate training, supervision and PPE will be provided to ensure the safety of staff, volunteers and patients.

If you are interested in volunteering, please register here.
