Safety and Employment Resources

22 April 2021

Ellis Whittam has made some free resources available covering the key safety and employment issues charities need to address before they reopen their full range of community services.

The Employment Law and Health & Safety Teams have produced the following downloadable resources:

  • Reoccupation Checklist
  • Vaccination & Testing Guide
  • Immunisation & Testing Policy
  • Risk Assessment Template – Charity Shops

together with a recording of their webinar “COVID-19 Live Q&A: Challenges Facing Charities” which you can watch on demand at any time.

Resources available here.

The webinar covered:

  • Preparing to reopen your premises and reinstate community services safely for your staff, volunteers and customers;
  • Restructuring your staff and volunteers;
  • Organising COVID-safe events;
  • The employment legalities surrounding vaccination and on-site testing;
  • Managing refusals to return to work;
  • Utilising flexible furlough to accommodate safety measures and respond to fluctuations in demand; and
  • The importance of reassuring volunteers and customers about safety.
