Community Engagement with Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue Service

25 March 2021

Invitation from Bedford Fire and Rescue Service:

Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue Service is developing a network of contacts to join a community engagement email group for the purpose of sharing news, safety information and campaigns aimed at risk reduction within your community.

The engagement will be occasional and have an informal basis. There will be occasional invitations to join a TEAMS or a ZOOM meeting. Participation is entirely optional of course.

There are several common areas of interest that we wish to establish regular contact about. In addition, we would like to, on at least one occasion per year, seek your views on our forward planning and priorities.

Organisations are invited to join the group alongside colleagues from a wide section of the community as well as individuals who have agreed to work with us to help make communities safer.

We are very keen to secure a relationship with every section of every community. All communities and sections of those communities have issues which are common to others but also unique to themselves. We want to know what those issues are so that we can take account of them when planning for our services, people and equipment.

Please do feel free to share this invitation across your own networks.

Membership of our community network is also open to individuals.

To regsiter, send a direct email to ian.howarth@bedsfire.gov.uk   or telephone 07825 754 934  giving a contact email and where possible a named contact.
