English Regional Transport Association
ERTA is a voluntary membership-based, pro-public transport improvement association and has main projects in the Bedfordshire and surrounding regional areas. The association seeks to be realistic and match available human and other resources to what can reasonably be done although there are a plethora of projects needing stimulus and advocacy.
There are some challenging and unique volunteering roles to be filled at ERTA. If local transport is your passion, then they could ge right up your street. Fundraising - this role covers anything from applying for grants and crowdfunding, to stock taking and running stalls at events.
IT Assistant - expect to be trouble shooting, producing digital diagrams and even using ebay
Marketing Officer - to promote the organisation and maintian and update the membership list
Project Officer - Ampthill Station - driving a campaign for the re-opening of the railway station at Ampthill which closed 50 years ago.
Social Media Officer - to maintain and post news to the ERTA social media accounts and to draw new support and interest through social media.
